Our Aim

In developing countries many of the girls who complete and do well at High School don't get the opportunity to take their education further by going on to University since their families cannot afford to fund this. This limits the girls choices in life and restricts their opportunities.

Our aim is to help a few bright girls who have done well at High School to continue on into higher education by sourcing funds to cover the cost of University.

Hasanah was the first girl we sponsored to go to University and she has gone on to do great things. She is from Lendang Nangka in Lombok, Indonesia. She completed her University degree in economics and social sciences at Mataram State University in 2018. Since then she has worked as a teacher and has started her own business. She is now commencing her masters degree at Yogyakarta University.

She wants to help other girls in her village in a similar situation. She has found four bright and talented girls in her village who aspire for an opportunity to go to University and reach towards their potential but will be unable to do so since their families cannot afford the cost.

"In my village there are so many women like me who will get married soon after finishing school rather than going on to study and getting a good job. I want to help to change the mindset of people here, so that women can have other choices of what they do with their lifes and contribute to their villages and country as well as being wifes and mothers".
​
The four girls featured on our website live in Hasanah's village. They have recently completed High School or are completing High School in the next few months and they have all passed Mataram State University entrance exams so are ready and eager to take up this opportunity to continue their education if they can.
​
They don't have the funds within their families or communities to pay for the cost of University education so are relying on the generosity of others to support their journey AND to change their lives and futures.
